Marine Coatings Conference

The 2-day international conference on marine coatings will be held at SMM on September 24 and 25.

The theme of the conference is Marine Coatings under the Regulatory Spotlight, and the program is already taking shape.

Expert speakers from the major marine paint suppliers, owners, yards and the regulatory bodies will talk about their experiences so far with the up-coming implementation of PSPC, the use of alternative systems, and the future proposed specification of coatings for other critical areas of vessels.

The need to reduce emissions from vessels at sea is becoming an important topic for owners, and maintaining smooth hulls free from fouling is one of the main methods for reducing fuel usage. The effect of the various tin-free and foul-release coatings in reducing bunkers will also be discussed.

The final program, and registration forms will be available in early June, and these can be accessed at www.marinecoatingsconference.com

If you would like to speak with someone, please contact Kate Parry on +44(0)1252 732227 or email on kate.parry@mpigroup.co.uk
